- What happens at class every week?
Each week the students have a half hour Drama class, and either half an hour of Singing or Dancing. Each subject is taught by a teacher who specialises in that area. We also have a “Fun Week” during each term, with extra games and fun for all!
- How do I ensure my child gets the most out of Encore!?
By attending class on time every week, and going over script, songs and dances at home, your child will be able to get the most from their weekly class, and be able to perform like a star on stage!
- What do the group colours mean?
We have developed our “Rainbow System” at Encore!, whereby as students progress through our classes they move up through the coloured groups.
Purple : Tots, Pre-school
Blue: Jnr / Snr Infants,
Green : 1st – 3rd class,
Yellow : 4th – 6th class,
Orange : 4th class – 1st year (grouped),
Red : 2nd – 6th year.
The student’s folder indicates their group colour.
- Does every child perform in the end of year show?
Every child in Ballet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red Groups perform in the Mill Theatre in our End of Year shows. Purple (Tots) perform in a display in St. Colmcille’s School on the last day of Term 2.
- How do I know which show my child is in?
Please consult the Show schedule HERE. Each student performs in 1 show, apart from Red Group (seniors) who perform in 2 shows.
- How many rehearsals are in the Theatre?
Ballet, Blue and Green groups each have one rehearsal in the Mill Theatre. Yellow and Orange groups have two, and Red (Senior) Groups have three. Click HERE to see the Theatre rehearsal sheet for details.
